Plaintiff purchased corporate stock of defendant, part of the supposed contract of purchase being a promise by defendant to repurchase. The officer making the agreement for defendant had no authority to bind it to repurchase. Upon defendant's repudiation of that promise, plaintiff is entitled to recover, quasi ex contractu, the money he paid for the stock.
